Draginbeard 21st Apr 2014, 1:43 AM edit delete reply

'The full kidnapping experience' best quote so far!
Rashala 21st Apr 2014, 3:03 AM edit delete reply

I stillprefer Tokyo rose's Quote of Maxis to a preist. HIS CONDITION IS IRREVERSIBLE and I HEAR ITS CONTAGIOUS!!

I know, right! Dragin !
This came out really good :D
Stormwind13 22nd Apr 2014, 9:24 PM edit delete reply

There have been a LOT of great in comic speeches by the resident Witc... I mean Wordsmith, Tokyo Rose. :-D

The comic wouldn't be the same without her for sure. :-)
mjkj 21st Apr 2014, 3:32 AM edit delete reply

Wow, great. Moral support for the sick hostage...

Indeed they look great in the swimsuits. Especially Acantha.

*hugs Acantha*

Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:01 AM edit delete reply

She likes hugs too - hell who doesnt.. oh yeah Prince Douchebag :D
Sheela 21st Apr 2014, 6:07 PM edit delete reply

Well .. Lynn is a bit iffy on hugs from strangers .. y'know, the whole "don't touch in public" phobia and all that ?
Don B. 22nd Apr 2014, 12:40 AM edit delete reply
Wanna bet she'll be less phobic about that by the time she gets out of Roma? Hugs are quite helpful in times of stress and there's a lot of that going around right now.
Stormwind13 22nd Apr 2014, 9:27 PM edit delete reply

No bet there, Don. I mean, Lynn already overcame it to some degree after she rescued Acantha from Douchebag. Acantha's need to be able to cling to something in the insane world that is the Palace overrode Lynn's dislike of casual touching. :-)
cattservant 21st Apr 2014, 4:27 AM edit delete reply

Five Star Detentions!
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:02 AM edit delete reply

indeed :D better than the dungeons :D
Leaking Pen 21st Apr 2014, 2:33 PM edit delete reply
We... DO get to see the dungeon later though, right?
Sheela 21st Apr 2014, 6:09 PM edit delete reply

And then when we get to see the dungeon, it's the most beatiful roman styled marble steam bath house with massage parlours resessed into the walls 'n' everything !

/clarkson voice
Here we have only the very best dungeons ... in the WORLD !
Centcomm 22nd Apr 2014, 4:54 PM edit delete reply

are you saying you WANT to see where the prince plays with his victims??
Dragonrider 21st Apr 2014, 5:32 AM edit delete reply

Was that a semi pass Acantha just made?
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:03 AM edit delete reply

Its play-flirty girls do that :D Lynn has already made herself trustworthy in Acantha's eyes. :D
Don B. 21st Apr 2014, 11:05 AM edit delete reply
I doubt it. My sisters make comments like that to each other and their friends all the time and I know that are meant as compliments, not passes.
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:13 AM edit delete reply

Exactly .. Acantha is just having fun. around someone she can let her guard down with . and shes in a safe place.

with Lexie and Maxus - Would YOU mess with the General of the army?
Puzzled Perv 21st Apr 2014, 1:46 PM edit delete reply
So it's just "play" banter.
hat must be why you modeled Lynn's nips as pointy.
Now I'm confused...
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 2:03 PM edit delete reply

There are a lot of reasons that can happen from tempeture to material causing friction. take it at face value :D Biological reactions happen :D hehe
Tokyo Rose 21st Apr 2014, 9:34 PM edit delete reply

Also, on a side note, a staggering number of outfits available for female models in DAZ Studio come with nipple morphs built in. Sometimes you CAN'T smooth them out completely, short of post-work in Photoshop. This has bitten us before. >_<
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 10:26 PM edit delete reply

In these I really didnt worry about it as ive seen this reaction before.. so meh..

NO SLT JOKES or Ill sic Kali on you!
Looks at Cat and Sheela

(( heheh Just kidding ))
cattservant 21st Apr 2014, 11:31 PM edit delete reply

You'd have to remove the weather covers anyway.
Antonious 21st Apr 2014, 5:15 PM edit delete reply

Sure I would ... if I planned to leave the stage using all exits simultaneously.
Sheela 21st Apr 2014, 6:11 PM edit delete reply

Well, to be fair .. Irene did seem to have plans for messing around with the General of the Army, and she didn't seem particularly distressed by the thought at all !
Rashala 22nd Apr 2014, 2:53 AM edit delete reply

As to Acantha ANd lynn well I think Acantah finally has found someone her own age and gender she can confide and trust in for the first time in her life......

and screwing with maxus I refer you to my list of people I would NOT screw with and why!!!
Tokyo Rose 22nd Apr 2014, 4:44 PM edit delete reply

::arms the anti-'shipping missiles:: No. No, it was not a pass. Not even a semi-pass. Not even a semihemidemi-pass.
Centcomm 22nd Apr 2014, 4:53 PM edit delete reply

hehe its just playful banter .. admittedly it CAN sound serious .. but normally isnt..
Stormwind13 22nd Apr 2014, 9:29 PM edit delete reply

LOL Rose. :-D

You should get poisoned doggie treats. And some catnip so the cat won't walk through the walls before you missile gets there. :-D
jamie59 21st Apr 2014, 7:05 AM edit delete reply

Acantha you can water-torture me.
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:03 AM edit delete reply

Bikini suits are over-rated. One-piece is better. :)
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:04 AM edit delete reply

I think they are awesome - Dont forget if you are posting as a guest you can subscribe to use the "save my place" and other neat things from comic fury - and its free and subcriptions help boost Datachasers placement :D
Don B. 21st Apr 2014, 11:11 AM edit delete reply
Bikini or one piece...I can't say I have a preference as I'm more interested in the girl wearing said swimsuit.
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 11:16 AM edit delete reply

Also totally valid !
Stormwind13 21st Apr 2014, 7:22 PM edit delete reply

Well if I'm interested in the woman wearing the suit, I like to see as much skin as she is comfortable with. So bikinis are good for that, but one piece suits are fine if that is what she wants to wear. Or just skin, if that makes her happy. Any of those will make ME happy. :-D
KarToon12 21st Apr 2014, 12:52 PM edit delete reply

Well, I guess technically, you kinda' have to have your bargaining chip be ALIVE to be useful. ^^; But I can understand the confusion. I'd be wierded out too if my kidnapper was being so nice. I wonder if Lynn might develop Stockholm Syndrome out of this?
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 1:55 PM edit delete reply

To be perfectly honest even though Acantha does not know this Maxus is HOPING for a bonding of sorts Deck simlpy wanted to keep Lynn under control assuming correctly the threat to Acantha would keep her in line. he did NOT know Lynn would be so fearcely protective once her blood got to boiling .. right now Lynn would do her best to protect Acantha. So to answer the question .. Lynn is already falling into that piticular trap.
Sheela 21st Apr 2014, 6:13 PM edit delete reply

Lynn has forcefully adopted Acantha as her BFF - And she's protective about her.

And no, the others don't get a say in the matter, and they better not try - She has a gun !
Rashala 22nd Apr 2014, 10:45 PM edit delete reply

YEah but maxis should be scared......

I mean he saw how SHE lynn got when her gblood got up and she only had access to what was in the room..... If I was him I would be needing a few minutes in the bathroom changing my shorts if I even Considered what her MOTHER would be doing with allt he stuff she has access to now
antrik 10th Oct 2016, 12:40 PM edit delete reply
I don't think it counts as Stockholm Syndrome, unless she got protective of Prince Headcase himself (yeah, like that's gonna happen...) -- he's really the only one who ever favoured this course of action.
Don B. 21st Apr 2014, 3:04 PM edit delete reply
Acantha isn't her kidnapper though. I don't believe she knew about or had anything to do with that. As near as I can tell, Acantha is very much a prisoner of her surroundings. Yes, she does have some freedom but even she doesn't know what her brother will do next. It could be that Acantha is more like her brother than she lets on and is playing a long game with Lynn, but I don't really believe that. Also, if these two don't end up best friends, I'll be very surprised. From their viewpoint, I'd say that Acantha is very much a rock of sanity in an insane situation for Lynn while Lynn is likely the first real friend close to her age in a looong, long time. From my perspective, it seems more like two people making a connection in an impossible situation. Lynn was kidnapped a short time ago and has somewhere/people to go back to. Sucks, but if she survives, she can go home again. Acantha, on the other hand, has a brother who rules the city with an iron hand, murdered their parents and kidnapped an innocent girl. She could escape, but Roma IS her home and she's been living with that and more for quite some time. Kidnapper/kidnapped, all I see are a pair of victims.
Centcomm 21st Apr 2014, 5:01 PM edit delete reply

and THAT is called "hitting the nail on the head.. " you are following it correctly :D thank you for that insightful bit :D its awesome to hear what the readers think :D
Stormwind13 21st Apr 2014, 7:12 PM edit delete reply

Thank you Don. I was thinking something very much like this, but I had to be away from the computer and didn't have the time to peck away at the phone to input it all. :-) Saved me from a lot of typing. :-D
Don B. 22nd Apr 2014, 12:23 AM edit delete reply
I don't mind the typing Stormwind13. I'm using a keyboard. Besides I like sharing my thoughts with all of you. CentComm's no trolls, flamers or other assorted ass-hats policy makes this forum the best I've ever seen. You and our fellow commenters make it the most enjoyable. I like that even if I'm wrong about something, I'm not attacked or made some kind of pariah as, these days, is all too common on the internet.
Centcomm 22nd Apr 2014, 4:56 PM edit delete reply

Don I have a very strong NO ATTACKS policy on the comic someone attacks someone I will deal with it period. I wont have my readers snipping at each other I like all of you equal :D so consider this a safe place :D
Tokyo Rose 21st Apr 2014, 9:39 PM edit delete reply

As far as Lynn being the first real friend near Acantha's age in a long time . . . I just want to add on "who is at least partially safe to befriend". Some of those who've made friends with her before have done so for wholly selfish motives, such hoping to get closer to the Prince's ear. The ones who genuinely liked Acantha on her own merits . . . well, a lot of people don't like seeing their friends upset and want to help. When the person who's the main cause of the friend's upset is a psychopathic dictator, trying to help is a great way to wind up being disposed of--either quietly in an unmarked grave, or in a spectacularly public way.

Lynn, as a valuable hostage, does have a good "selfish" motive for making friends, but she's also got at least partial immunity to Decimus's retribution.
Dragonrider 21st Apr 2014, 6:32 PM edit delete reply

Acantha is more than a victim she is a prisoner of her heritage, she has the love of the common person in Nova Roma something that family has not had for a generation or so, She wants to see the injustices stopped and hopes that her brother may yet see the light and change, even though she acknowledges this ain't gonna happen. She can't leave with Decimus on the throne even though she knows what the personal cost may well be. If her hopes hold and come true Decimus will be bloodlessly be removed from power and she will be able to institute a government that will help and protect her subjects. Make no mistake she knows she is Roma's last and only hope just as she knows she is the last of the line and if she doesn't produce a heir Roma is finished. She is a little girl, and she is every inch a Princess with a good head on her shoulders and the weight of an Empire on her back. She knows she needs Lynns help to restore Aeneas and to weld the friendship with New Troy that will be needed for the Kingdom to survive.
highlander55 21st Apr 2014, 8:23 PM edit delete reply

The only light he will see if probably from Dolly's blaster.
Tokyo Rose 21st Apr 2014, 9:43 PM edit delete reply

Prince Valerius, Acantha and Decimus's father, was a pretty nice guy and actually quite popular with the common people. Unfortunately, he wasn't so popular with the Senate and with the upper class that wanted to maintain their power and privilege, so many of the reforms that he wanted to make were hindered.
Don B. 22nd Apr 2014, 12:00 AM edit delete reply
I can't argue with you there, Dragonrider. That's pretty much the same as my understanding of Acantha. I was more focused on the dynamic between the two to go into that much detail on either of them.
Centcomm 22nd Apr 2014, 4:56 PM edit delete reply

Rose beat me to the punch on that one :D
Stormwind13 21st Apr 2014, 7:28 PM edit delete reply

Two lonely women-girls, isolated in their own worlds thrown together by circumstances. They were enough alike and enough different that they were friends when they sat down to watch "Lost In Translation" together. They became SISTERS when Lynn went after Douchebag with a candlestick and murder on her mind.
Don B. 21st Apr 2014, 10:19 PM edit delete reply
That sounds about right. While they are victims for the moment, they are both very strong in their own way but together they'll kick ass and not bother to take names...
cattservant 21st Apr 2014, 11:38 PM edit delete reply

Princesses of two of the most significant city states in the world.
Don B. 22nd Apr 2014, 12:06 AM edit delete reply
There is that, Cattservant, but I was thinking along the lines of the havoc two pissed off teenage girls can create. I shudder to think of it.
Stormwind13 22nd Apr 2014, 5:29 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, but two pissed off teenage girls that have the ties these two do, Don. That is WORLD shaking scary. :-D Plus both of them are highly intelligent, which means they can THINK of things to unleash on the world. And they seem to be committed to one another, like sisters would be. Messing with one will bring the other into the fray swinging.

So, the world is either going to be saved (whether it wants to be or not) or DOOMED by that combination I think. :-)
Centcomm 22nd Apr 2014, 4:57 PM edit delete reply

ding ding you got it in one Storm :D
antrik 10th Oct 2016, 12:59 PM edit delete reply
