I know right - I was giggling SO hard when I saw these so was Rose :D
xpacetrue 4th May 2014, 12:53 AM edit delete reply

Ha ha! My favorites are "New Troy Death Brigade" and "I don't know who went in there". ^_^

Thing is, I can't figure out "How do I feel about candlesticks?" Aside from not being familiar with the meme or what it references, I don't understand how it relates to Datachasers.
cattservant 4th May 2014, 2:02 AM edit delete reply

It was a real hit at the time!
Stormwind13 4th May 2014, 8:56 AM edit delete reply

The last meme references the movie gladiator where the person displayed played a Caligula style emperor of Rome.
Centcomm 4th May 2014, 8:12 PM edit delete reply

yes it does :D
Sheela 5th May 2014, 7:58 AM edit delete reply

The NEw Troy Death Brigade is pretty accurate ... and pretty funny too. :)
Dragonrider 4th May 2014, 8:50 AM edit delete reply

Showing my age might be funny if I understood them.
cattservant 4th May 2014, 9:29 AM edit delete reply

The 'culture wave' rolls in and
then it rolls back out again...

[and the tide is going out!]
Stormwind13 4th May 2014, 9:06 AM edit delete reply

If that is death, send them over here! I'll at least die happy. Death squad class of 3085! :-D

I object to the CeCi learns to cook one though. I mean she was shown by Logrin and I have a feeling that fool can cook! All the fanciest equipment and lots of time on his hands to get it right. And CeCi is nothing if not good at picking up on instructions (even if they mean squashing part of her own program). :-D
Centcomm 4th May 2014, 8:13 PM edit delete reply

Well its a reference to the fact she has no LUCK with cooking. It will make more sense later on .. :D
Draginbeard 4th May 2014, 1:48 PM edit delete reply

Some of these are pretty cute, especially TeeDee reloaded! I even had a joke for that a while back.
Centcomm 4th May 2014, 8:14 PM edit delete reply

Yes you did :D I think Locke did a great job ! :D ( you should see the in game ones I cant show :D due to spoilers.. )
KarToon12 4th May 2014, 2:07 PM edit delete reply

The Doctor Evil one made me laugh the hardest. XD
Centcomm 4th May 2014, 8:14 PM edit delete reply

It gave me a sure case of the giggles :D

Q: Is it technically possible for a human to have a cybernetic implant that could capture and record droid speak? I realize androids probably communicate very rapidly that way. But couldn't an implant translate recorded messages by replaying them and slowing them down to human speed?

In asking this, I'm reminded of a certain ranger Ceci and Dolly met out in the wastes who seemed to have an awful lot of high-end Luna equipment...
Centcomm 4th May 2014, 8:16 PM edit delete reply

It is Possible but kinda useless as it takes a few moments to slow it down - decompress it and then replay it at normal speed .. and considering that some "bursts may take several PAGES of info .. its just not practical..
xpacetrue 4th May 2014, 10:02 PM edit delete reply

Oh, I realize that it may not be very practical to, say, try to keep up with some androids or droids in a conversation, much less participate. And, sure, some conversations may be long or contain technical data.

But I was thinking more of a situation like an agent or spy, where it might pay to record several seconds or minutes of conversation and then, later, listen to it at one's leisure. Besides, I'd think an implant could have a computer to filter out the data and stuff, leaving only actual conversations (looking for sentences with grammar, etc). If nothing else, it might be an advantage to hear the squeeks just to know that droid speak is being used.

Besides, most of the droid speak we've seen tends to be brief sentences or paragraphs. Or is that just because it's all that would fit in a speech bubble?
