Dolly: Your elbow? Yes, it's pointing in a different direction to the other one, isn't it? And it's your own fault for using it to swing your fist at me. But if it bothers you that much... - *cratch* - there, now the other one matches. Happy?!
He seems pretty stupid, Dragonrider. He hasn't already taken off running. And that first panel, where he is talking about Minx getting clumsy, indicates he thinks he is ENTITLED to do what he wants. So yeah, I expect him to push that button and find out that Dolly really meant it.
Well, duh, Dolly has all the experience in the world to draw on.
Also, Dolly is trained mostly in one-on-one combat (bodyguard), while Teedee would be trained more like a regular soldier(group combat).
Heck, even in the human-hybrid body that she is in now, I suspect she'd be dangerous, even to someone like TeeDee.
Rather, the main reason why Teedee would think Dolly is a softie, is because Teedee would simply have shot him in the head to begin with .. there's none of this "second chance" bullshit, from Teedee.
Meanwhile, Dolly is trying to save ... well .. everyone!
I respectfully disagree about TeeDee's Training. Remember the fight scene in the bar between her and Major Ramsey? She is fully trained in Hand-to-hand combat, and now that she's learning the cababilities of her "sprite" model body, she's very dangerous in it.
I'm not saying Teedee isn't dangerous, she certainly is.
She also, obviously, quite competent in a one-on-one battle.
Even so, the majority of her training would likely have been centered around teamwork.
Whereas the majority of a bodyguards/guardian's training would be just yourself against another, or even multiple opponents.
Remember when Dolly and Ceci went up against 4 gutters ?
Dolly got three of them, and Ceci is a top of the bloody line combat model.
Also, lets not forget that Dolly's new body was build with her specifically in mind. and I doubt Calli would have wanted Dolly to give up her guardian work, so it's going to have some strength build into it. I'd bet good money on Dolly's body being a good deal stronger with an experienced mind such as Dolly's, to back it up.
In fact, I suspect that Dolly is dangerous to .. well, just about everything, if she decides she has a really strong grudge that needs to be settled.
Good point, Sheela. TeeDee is a trained agent, very deadly. Dolly is trained to deal with such threats as a guardian. So Dolly is likely to be even MORE deadly, especially after all her years of experience.
Fezzik: I just figured why you give me so much trouble.
Westley: Why is that
[squashed against a rock]
Westley: do you think?
Fezzik: Well, I haven't fought one person for so long. I've been specialised in groups, battling gangs for local charities, that kind of thing.
Westley: Why should that make such a
[squashed painfully]

Fezzik: You use different moves when you're fighting half a dozen people, than when you only have to be worried about one

Teedee is a Bulldozer. SO is Marcus both rely on brute force rather than finesse... Marcus is a bit better but always will go brute force if he has a option.. Dolly uses the surroundings and prefers to have a mental and tactical advantage and prefers to set her opponents up :D
Stupid of him if he is. Dolly is NOT restricted when dealing with things. Not then, not now or not EVER! Forces of nature don't let themselves be restricted, mjkj. :-D
As a (presumably licensed) security professional, particularly a bodyguard, Dolly is a special case. Normal rules don't apply, there are special laws in place for such people today, so it stands to reason that there are laws covering such situations in NT. Of course, the idiot she's dealing with isn't aware of her status...
That last line was great. Also enjoyed Dolly in the third panel, "Back off, or I will put you under the critical-care ward." That is telling jerkwad EXACTLY how much pain he is courting. And I don't think he is listening.
Since when do arrogant, bigoted, bullying thugs like this *ever* listen? They're not smart enough to realize consequences and pain that haven't yet occurred. Partly because they're too busy justifying their own actions, specifically the ones that lead them straight *to* the pain and consequences in this sort of situation.
He's likely too invested in his own self-righteousness to even consider the smart choice (i.e., running away). Though if he does run, there's a good chance he'll turn up again later with 'friends' to 'put that uppity digi-bitch in her place'. If that happens, I hope we get to see it, or at least hear about it, since they'll probably want to do it in view of Minx so that she can 'learn her place better'. Or some similar idiotic bigoted line of reasoning.
I really hope that if he does the disappear and reappear with friends option, that he is stupid enough to do it at the Taylor's demanding compensation for his pain and suffering.
The thing is, if he comes back with friends, they'll be looking to find Dolly when she's alone so there isn't anyone to run and get help while they're, umm, getting their asses handed to them by what they'd foolishly assumed would be an easy target for payback.
I agree though I arrive at this from another direction. He sees Minx as his property, not a person even though he can interact with her intelligently(even if that seems hard for him)
Because of the law structure there that we have heard comments on, he may believe that Dolly can not do him serious injury. Problem is, he does not know that she is trained to take people down, though the thump he just got should have been a clue.
I think the issue will be resolved on whether or not he reacts from anger or intimidation(personally she would have scared the s*** out of me with that move and in the face dare!)
Yeah, Dolly knows how to make a fist shaped impression.
She needs a ring like the Phantom's. But, instead of having a skull on it, it should have the mirror image of DOLLY on it. That way, anyone who provoked her would forever wear her mark on their face. Anyone they met would know that this was someone who had run afoul of The Ghost In The Shell, Who Walks.
The other side of the ring would have the image of a rag doll, for times when she needs to be a bit more discreet. Sadly, she'd probably have to leave the ring at home, when taking part in ghost ops, like the one in Nova Roma.
Yeah, I think this is the THIRD time Data Chasers has seen 1200 pages. And then reduces it down by replacing pages with new art, multi-panel pages. :-)
You only have 476 single panel pages left and I'm not sure you want to replace the Flesh and Nanotech pages. Dolly looked fabulous in those, as she was trying to come awake.
Of course, you might want to redo some of the others. They might not meet you current 'standards'. Though they look good to me. Though the new art is even BETTER. :-)
Please, take a swing at her. See what happens.

However, smart money is still on Dolly....

Once she'd be worn out, Dolly would give her cookies and smackdowns! *sage nod*
Almost sounds like a kung-fu technique.
@alt text: I agree.
He might count on that restricting Dolly.
He's likely too invested in his own self-righteousness to even consider the smart choice (i.e., running away). There would be a LOAD of pain dumped on them. Hospital stays for scumbag and 'friends' (thugs).

"Quick! Use your karate chop action!"
XDXD
That's represents an incredible amount of work and your hard work is appreciated.

It seems most of us really want that to happen (me included).
Dolly: "Funny thing, officer. He sorta fell down."
OF: "How'd he break both elbows and both knees?"
Dolly: "He fell down extremely hard, I suppose."
OF (looking at Minx): "Yeah, I guess he did."
